These are photographs from my years in construction and remodeling. I am showing them for one reason: when I tell you what is wrong with a roof, a framing detail, or a repair somebody rushed through, that judgment comes from having built it myself, not from a classroom.

I do not repair the homes I inspect. That is by law, and it is also the point. I have no reason to find a problem that is not there, and no reason to stay quiet about one that is.
